Crab Island

Located on the Bay side of the Destin Bridge, this famous submerged sandbar is where locals and visitors anchor to spend the day enjoying time with their family and friends and experiencing the beautiful water and weather Destin has to offer.  The water depth varies from two to ten feet deep depending on where you anchor; For shallower water, head towards the center of the island! Crab Island offers a lively atmosphere with people, live music, games, vendors, snacks, and more! On days with great weather, you could see upwards of 500 speed boats, yachts, tiki huts, and pontoon boats anchored at Crab Island having a great time!    

Crab Island is only accessible by boat. If you have boating experience, there are plenty available for rental in the Destin area! No experience? No problem!
